Objective(s): to interview specific individuals who spoke before the AlPac Review Panel during the public hearings. The objective is to ask why they participated, whether the AlPac hearing process was effective, and if they have suggestions to improve the environmental hearing process.

Project Description: The purpose of this study is to examine the efficiasy of the public hearing process for facilitating the expression of environmental values by members of the general public, local government officials, and communities and organizations. We examine 1 recent hearing, the Alberta-Pacific Environmental Assessment Review Board public hearings, in order to determine how environmental values of public participants were acknowledged in the process.
